Every year State Bank of India conducts a recruitment process for hiring eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officers. The selection process will be conducted through 3 stages namely Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The candidates have to qualify for all three stages to be selected as a PO in SBI branches.  Mains Exam Pattern 


I. Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for a total of 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.

 II. Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). 



Interview Round

The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. An adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Exercises and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Exercises &Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
